On Easter Sabbath, 31 March 2018, Stanborough Park church celebrated not only the resurrection of Jesus, but also the new life of three young people who had chosen to give themselves to Christ through baptism.
Trond Asbjornsen was baptised by Pastor Paddy Boyle, and said, “There is nothing greater than to have a personal relationship with the one who sacrificed all for each and every one of us. The Lord has guided me this far and I have no doubt in placing my life in the hands of the Master.”
Christian Constantinou was baptised by Pastor Paul Clee. He wanted to get baptised to be closer with God. “Jesus has helped me a lot in my life, and still is,” said Christian. “I want to share his word with others, so they can be with Jesus and have everlasting life too.”
Chiemi Ishida was baptised by Pastor Jacques Venter, and her church in Japan sent a video of the members wishing her congratulations and singing “Amazing Grace” in Japanese and English. Chiemi explained why she wanted to be baptised: “God is my best friend. He is there for me, and I am there for Him. God helps me through my hard times and I help other people through their hard times. God will always be my best friend.”
Stanborough Park welcomes these young people into the church family. For more photos go to our Facebook page.
